Numerous wineries are located just 30-40 minutes away from the city, tacked in between picturesque Konavle Valley and Brajkovici Village. This bread-basket region is full of 2000 years of history and one of the best wineries in the country. My experience there brought me a 'farm workers' type of lunch that was one of the best food I have ever had. I homemade bread just out of the oven with some bacon, onions and eggs served with variety of local olive oils to pick and choose. The lunch was paired with some great sweet wines famous for the area. If you are ever in Dubrovnik make an effort to explorer the countryside as well. Enjoy!"
